It's always best to be preventative on these cars and when we hear a noise that shouldn't be there the rule generally is sort it asap!.

The Speed six engine is a great engine but can in many cases unfairly, get a slating off people who don't really know it or how to maintain it properly.

Sorting items such as this half time bearing on ours when its getting noisy is just one of the things experience tells us you must always do.

Its not cheap and you won't notice any power difference, but neither is a new engine when the chains come off at 6000rpm as the bearing breaks and explodes your lovely engine!

Good TVR's deserve looking after and unfortunatly not all are these days.

Pick a good one and you'll wonder why you didn't do it years ago.
