Tribute Italia 250 Swb – off to meet the experts this week – Ian and Bella at Classic coach works in Silchester, Hampshire.

We thought before we decide what to do with this fella that we adopted last year we would see what it’s all about.
Great fun doing 277 miles in it in two days and discovered a remote control exhaust system, remote central locking and a stereo that loves playing Chris Rea and a Neil Diamond CD.
The very best thing about driving this vehicle is the people it stops in their tracks when you’re driving it.
It’s a super looking sight on the road that shames those around it.
Based on a 1999 BMW Z3 running gear with a 2800cc straight six engine, a full tribute conversion body kit, bespoke wheels, hand made sports exhaust with remote sports option, anti lock brakes, electric seats and air conditioning it’s under pinnings are from a much more modern car than it looks.
117000 miles on German engineering and 3500 miles of that on British passion for Italian beauties.
Ian’s valued it at £33k ish for our insurance and is very impressed with the level of attention to detail it’s had on it when completed by a well know Hot Rod specialist in Norfolk to a great standard where he must have not seen his wife and kids for two years !
