Venetian Green – we fully serviced the car, added some nice updates, fully prepared the underside to future proof it and added a nice touch of a half leather/half wooden steering wheel. Know from new its a cracker.

Well you know us, we love these cars being as mechanically sweet as possible, but also love the detail side, something a lot forget to spend the time on.

Following the lairy theme on this Ferrari Giallofly Yellow painted exmaple we though matching rocker covers might just do the trick. Just installed and we’ll have to get that alternator and exhaust polished up now before it’s next adventure!

Starting at just before 5pm we took off from the workshops and blasted along the country roads into the heart of the Rutland and Leicestershire countryside, landing at the event at about 5.30pm

It’s a well organised affair and a far cry from the old favourite in our region of Ashby Foville, which became so big with over 5000 vehicles it got banned by the emergency services and the local police force with Police helicopters often following sportscars home!

Let’s hope this stays a decent size as the array of vehicles was spot on, both old and new.

A Update from TVR on their new TVR Griffith

So, what’s been going on?

As well as working on the new TVR Griffith, we nipped over to Le Mans with the Rebellion TVR and won the non-hybrid class (3rd and 4th overall, and despite a slightly eventful start to the race!), which made us very proud and smiley indeed. The mules have been busy testing at Dunsfold (the Top Gear test track) and other circuits, the Demonstrator Prototype (DP1) has been shown at Le Mans, Burghley, Silverstone and Beaulieu. It has also been driven on track extensively, with tweaks to various aspects, not least gearing, finessing what is already an incredible car straight out of the box. More on that in a later part of this update.
