Well after going for some 15 years in TVR`s we all thought it would be time to go back to basics.

What could be more basic than a Bulgarian built Austin Maestro 1275cc Left Hand drive.

Having decided to go in this beast we also decided to raise some money for the Automotive charity BEN along the way.

So we have been harrassing clients, customers and suppliers for the past few weeks and will be at the weekend of the race inside the circuit too.

If you see any of us then please give us a toot or say hello. If you`re feeling generous then drop a few quid into our shakers or pop into the workshop some time soon.

UPDATE …..WE MADE IT THERE AND BACK …

Well you will be glad to know our tongue in cheek journey ended without any serious hiccup’s (other than a vacuum advance pipe melting on the manifold which we cunningly fixed with a washer pipe).

The car covered over 1600 Kilometres and it was so special that one Vauxhall owner even decided to make this video of the car:-

Maestro in trouble

(noted to add that no Austin Rover car were harmed in any way during this video and any situations portrayed in this clip were wishful thinking by Vauxhall Monaro owners as we all know British built cars are indestructible! )
