Chassis Waxoyling

As the TVR is based around a ladder chassis its always very importnat to keep this well protected from the elements and as rust free as possible.

Protected from the factory with either a silver or white powder coating new it constantly needs fetling as road grit, stones and undercar grounding can cause this protective coating to be removed over time.

Many different types of protection can be used and we where possible try to use the clear waxoyle product as at least a prospective customer can see what the metal is like underneath if they are worried about the cars condition. Shutz spray is another good product which is equally as good but is black and although a possibly better product for coverage is hard to know what lies underneath unless you were the one coating the car in the first place.

Garages and Mechanics in general aren`t always a big fan of either of these products. To work on your car they make the TVR underside a filthy, greased up tight space, however its certainly worth it in the long run to keep your car costs to a minimum.

Our current Cerbera lightweights outriggers seen here at over 11 years old and due to regular coatings of underbody protection are still in fantastic condition.

Well kept Chassis

Its not a hugely expensive product and you`ll end up paying more for the labour time to do it. We would recommend on the average TVR to get it done either once every 18 months thoroughly, every 6000 miles or a regular top up each service dependent on who does it, how long they take and what model you have.
