When the last 100 Griffiths rolled off the production line at Blackpool they were each individually numbered in the glove box.

Although it was the Griffith that gave Peter Wheeler, the then MD of TVR Engineering the spring board to take TVR to where they are today, it was the faithfull Chimaera that cemented the business and brought the all important money into Wheelers business.

By the time the Chimaera and Griffith were coming to the end of production the Tuscan was taking orders faster than both previous years put together and it was largely forgotten about.

TVR hastily put a Limited Edition together with the following

Example – that we have just sold

Faired in Front headlamps with larger lights
Clear lensed Front indicators
Cerbera 2000 Side repeaters
Cerbera full front seats
Lumbar Supports
16inch Alloys all round
Alloy Handbrake and custom made factory Alloy Stalks

Few of these were sold and are now well on their way to becoming one of TVR`s future nuggets to buy due to their low levels of production.

Priced at £2225 under the Tuscan at its Motorshow launch price it struggled to sell but now its the latest you can get a V8 full convertible from Bristol Avenue and was infact the last 100% British V8 Convertible from Wheelers Door – something to think about in years to come.
