it reads…..
Dear James
L872WAM was originally ordered in Dec 1993 by Ulrich Hennecke from David Hendry Cars TVR cars as a big valve 430 Chimaera but had the 500 engine conversion at the factory in Silverstone Silver and ¾ hide.
The original car sales invoice no 865 dated 24th January 1994 details all the extra’s fitted.
The car was first registered to a pub in the West country whilst Mr Hennecke was working in the UK for a year, later taken to Munich Germany and serviced by Harald Gehrke in Hagen West Germany.
At that point the car had a lot of work done including new differential 1998 and complete engine in 1997 supplied by TVR power. The car has the later gearbox.
I purchased the car in Munich in November 1998 and transferred the TVR to Berlin Germany where he lived and worked until 2001.
The car was later shipped back to UK where it has been based in N Yorks for the past 20 years.
The car was driven back to the UK for MOT’s and visits over the years without incident.
The car has all original documents and all work carried out including
New Engine rebuild…see invoice details
Oil cooler
New radiator
Upgraded differential and gearbox
Improved anti roll bar bushes
Brake upgrade
Inlet manifold increased
Upgraded ignition and HT leads
New Wiper motor
Cherry bombed exhaust
Battery isolator
Toyo Tyres Good
DVLA 2 keepers
Having owed the car for circa 23 years and having other classic Mercedes cars I have decided to concentrate on the MB having purchased a 35 year old R107
