Waxoyling your Chassis

What keeps your TVR together is the seamless tubular steel, boxed section chassis. Keeping this in tip top condition as your car gets older is of major benefit to a TVR’s value in the future.

Although Blackpool epoxy coated these against corrosion they do need regular maintenance.

We recommend that all our TVR’s both old and new get this treatment. We always use clear waxoyle as it stops any `hidden’ areas that more unscrupulous sellers try and hide with black or old engine oil mixed products. When we MOT our vehicles we remove all the wheels, cover the brake systems, brush off any excess flaking and grime and pressure spray the underside and any other load bearing items that can be susceptible to the elements.

You can never do it 100% unless you remove the body off but the more we can preserve these sports cars now the more are likely to still be on the road in ten – twenty years time.

The final and great thing about waxoyle is the smell and although not great for your lungs when its burning off the excess around the manifold for the first time, it linked with the smell of fibreglass and engine oil is a combination most petrol heads love.
