What Is Amourfend
Due to the low nature of most of the TVR`s we sell, especially the front nose area, many of our clients have sought out various different methods of trying to keep the dreaded stone chips from immaculate paintwork.
One item that was widely fitted by TVR dealers in the late 1990`s onwards was Armourfend. It worked very similar to the way Porsche fitted rear wing protection on their new cars in the same period.
It has always split our customers opinions as in many colours the plastic finish line can look like a poor paint match and collect lots of white polish (especially on a dark colour).
For those who like the system there`s nothing quite like it, but it can be a nightmare to remove for the DIY enthusiast – so don`t expect it to come off without the need of some paintwork here and there.
We haven`t had many customers ask for this for a while as in many cases it`s just as easy to leave a large gap from the car in front and then if it gets too bad for you visit a decent bodyshop, but for all those tailgater`s this is always a good option!
