Goodwood Revival and New TVR Launch this week.

Our very own TVR Griffith 4300 Factory Big Valve is in the Earls Court stand at Goodwood too.

Let us know if you’re there too for a catch up.

A word today from Les Edgar, TVR Engineering today.

Dear all,

The countdown has begun! We’re in the final days of preparation prior to the big unveiling of the first all-new TVR in over a decade. Candles are being burnt at both ends and, even if I could sleep, I’d be going over and over everything – have we forgotten anything? Wheels, 4; big engine – tick; beautiful interior – most certainly; paint dry? – – yup; champagne – oh yes!

We can’t wait to see your reaction – when I think back to when I first saw the fully working prototype in the flesh for the first time, I have to say I was dumbstruck and anybody who knows me, will realise this is unusual, to say the least. I walked around it in silence – several times. I know it’s our ‘baby’ and of course I am incredibly biased, but I’ve been lucky enough to own many beautiful cars and I can honestly say that for me, this car is everything I wanted it to be – beauty in a beast – achingly gorgeous from every angle but at the same time, unmistakably something you don’t mess with, menacing, purposeful.

So, a few more details for those of you lucky enough to be attending the Goodwood Revival.

The car will be on show for all three days of the event within the Earls Court Motor Show building on the inside of the circuit. The initial unveiling to the world’s press and public will be taking place on Friday at 8:30am, shortly after the event opens (7:30am). The unveiling is not a press-only affair, although there will be a section roped off for those with press accreditation in order that they can get the first shots of the car for publication, so come along.

If you have not been fortunate enough to secure yourself a ticket to the Revival this year and you hold a deposit for one of our launch edition beauties, then click here* for an opportunity to win a couple of VIP tickets for Sunday, – good odds of better than 1 in 500! These tickets will get you access to the event and to our hospitality pavilion where you can enjoy some slightly curled up sandwiches and a glass or two of our finest plonk. We’ll draw the winning ticket at Midnight on Tuesday 5th and either courier your tickets to you or arrange for you to collect them at the gate on the day.

For those unable to attend in person, we believe Goodwood are intending to live stream the unveiling on Facebook and we will send out the link for this as soon as we get it.

As mentioned before, we intend to show the car at other events later in the year in order that as many customers and potential customers get the chance to see the car up close and personal.

Also, watch out for a new teaser video to be released Tuesday morning, and please follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/tvrauto, Twitter https://twitter.com/TVR and Instagram https://www.instagram.com/tvr.manufacturing/ if you’re interested in being amongst the first to catch more information in the coming days.

That’s it for the moment, back to polishing now – still plenty of stuff coming out before Goodwood, so keep an eye out!

Best Wishes
Les
